Global Apparel Brand Improves User Adoption with Successful Cloud Upgrade

Overview

Tommy Bahama is a Seattle-based manufacturer of casual clothing, men’s and women’s sportswear, denim, accessories, footwear, and a complete home furnishings collection. The company is owned by Atlanta-based Oxford Industries. There are over 160 company-owned Tommy Bahama retail stores worldwide.

Situation

Tommy Bahama has a desire to stay current on their FlexPLM version, therefore they decided to upgrade their PTC Cloud hosted FlexPLM system once the latest version was released.

Solution

Based on thier Cloud hosted system the upgrade was completed in concert with PTC and ArcherGrey. In this case the build deployment is owned by PTC and ArcherGrey owned all other activities such as code migration and integrations

Impact

ArcherGrey in partnership with PTC was able to complete this upgrade seamlessly in approximately 4 months of time where as previous upgrade took more than twice as long. Tommy Bahamas goal to stay current on their FlexPLM version along with Cloud hosting not only allowed a much more cost effective upgrade path but also provided the end users with improved functionality to support their growth.
